We are seeking a Full-Time Associate Account Manager in Medical Device Sales to support the eastern region of the United States. Major cities include DC, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Boston with many additional cities in the territory. Looking for a candidate who resides in a hub city such as DC Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia or Virginia with the ability to travel to additional parts of the eastern region.

We are seeking a Full-Time Associate Account Manager in Medical Device Sales to support the eastern region of the United States. Major cities include DC, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Boston with many additional cities in the territory. Looking for a candidate who resides in a hub city such as DC Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia or Virginia with the ability to travel to additional parts of the eastern region.
Essential Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by increasing the prescriber base, expanding into new therapeutic areas and close new business.
- Utilize value-based selling messaging to achieve sales revenue targets.
- Develop physician and prescribing clinician understanding of all relevant clinical data.
- Collaborate with Account Manager and Clinical Education Specialist to increase Nuwellis therapies in existing accounts and identify new centers to adopt therapy, focusing on high growth potential accounts within region.
- Responsible for support of sales and ongoing account management of Aquadex to promote consistent utilization and identify new centers.
- Assists the territory Account Manager with sales strategies and execution to surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Assists in providing customer support through training and education in disease state, treatment protocols, reimbursement requirements, etc.
- Acquire and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product and therapy knowledge.
- Assists in providing customer support through training and education in disease state, treatment protocols, reimbursement requirements, etc.
- Develop consultative role to promote therapy development, facilitate relationship building, and provide necessary customer service within current customer base.
- Practice effective account management, KOL management, promote the therapies, maintain product and technical competency and provide market information (MIS) on a timely basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business administration, marketing, scientific discipline or other related degree and a minimum of 2 years of BTB sales experience.
- Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
- Possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
- 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, medical device market development.
- Understand and demonstrate proficiency in core technologies and sales tools.
- Demonstrated ability to discuss pathophysiology of patients in multiple areas such as Heart Failure, Transplant, Cardiac Surgery, VAD, Critical Care, Trauma, Renal, Burn, Interventional Cardiology, Pediatrics, CRRT, ECMO, Liver Failure, Sepsis, Vascular access, including having clinical conversations with healthcare professionals in these specialties.
- Strong sales “close” experience and mentality, including persuasiveness, assertiveness and persistence
- Resourceful and a self-starter
- Ability to travel/drive within the territory as well as outside of the territory for conference, trainings, etc.
- The Associate Account Manager (AM) is expected to maintain regular physical presence at customer sites.
- Up to 50%+ travel required. Travel involves regular daily driving commutes to and from customer sites as well as domestic plane travel and frequent overnights.
- Compensation for this position includes base salary of $75,000, plus commission, car allowance, and a comprehensive benefit package.
