Lead with Purpose – Keep Our Facility Running Smoothly and Safely

East Cobb Center for Nursing and Healing, a 117-bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Director to oversee all aspects of facility maintenance and ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This is a key leadership role ideal for a hands-on professional with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department
• Perform and oversee general maintenance and repairs across the facility
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other infrastructure systems
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local building codes and health regulations
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed
• Ensure emergency response systems are operational and staff are trained
• Maintain maintenance logs, equipment inventory, and service records
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and coordinate timely resolutions
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in general maintenance and facility operations (healthcare or skilled nursing preferred)
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage a team and delegate tasks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to prioritize work, respond to emergencies, and problem-solve independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and building safety codes
• Availability for occasional evening/weekend emergencies as needed
