What We Are Looking For
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer II to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, build data pipelines that populate discovery suites that support our organization's needs. You will create, maintain, and test code that will be used to generate discovery suites in accordance with acceptance criteria. Additionally, after a data deploy the Jr Data Engineer will review and conduct tier 1 troubleshooting on the Data Quality Reports. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of data and standards in healthcare, specifically in research and development. You will collaborate closely with our development, data science, clinical, and informatics teams to build discovery suites.

What We Are Looking For

Additionally, after a data deploy the Jr Data Engineer will review and conduct tier 1 troubleshooting on the Data Quality Reports. You will collaborate closely with our development, data science, clinical, and informatics teams to build discovery suites.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Develop and deploy data pipeline code defined by Sr Engineer to curate and process clinical data sourced from electronic health records
- Field and troubleshoot problems/issues/bugs
- Complete routine coding tasks and maintenance
- Implement designs developed in collaboration with senior engineers and internal stakeholders
- Execute manual data deployment and updating jobs
- Execute manual QA jobs
- Review QA output and raise issues with the team
- Build monitoring jobs
- Be a liaison for the Data Management Team
- Create and maintain technical documentation for cloud-based solutions and processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud technology trends and advancements.
- Sc. with 3+ years of working experience in healthcare data, data management, or related data discipline.
- Superb attention to detail
- Demonstrable evidence of learning and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Python and SQL
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience working in GCP, and GitHub
- Experience working in a collaborative environment being a team player
- Willingness to travel to RefinedScience location (Denver, CO) approximately once per quarter and travel up to 15%).
- Working knowledge of BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) data
- Experience working in early-stage Biotech environment
- Working knowledge of Microservices
- Working knowledge of APIs
- Working knowledge of Automation tools
- Experience with unit testing

- The target salary range is $110,000 to $130,000 annually.
- Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
