About The Role

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with existing clients while driving sales through retention and new business development. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you’ll promote and sell our full range of services including lawn installation, irrigation, lawn maintenance, and pest control with a strong focus on expanding our client base by building lasting relationships with high-value prospects.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Commercial account management or sales experience, ideally in landscaping, lawn care, or irrigation.
  • Strong knowledge of lawn installation, irrigation, maintenance, and pest control.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Problem-solving and client issue resolution.
  • Skilled in preparing and presenting sales proposals; track record of meeting sales goals.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CRM/operations software.
  • Comfortable managing multiple accounts and conducting site visits.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients based on trust, reliability, and consistent service delivery by you and our service teams.
  • Proactively manage client properties by identifying issues before the client does, communicating them clearly, and coordinating with the team to resolve them.
  • Ensure frequent, professional, and timely communication with clients, providing updates and gathering feedback to improve service quality.
  • Conduct scheduled property visits (monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly) based on client preferences, logging all activity and notes in Single Ops for accountability and tracking.
  • Monitor crew activity and work closely with department managers and service coordinators to ensure proper scheduling, quality control, and excellent client service.
  • Support and assist in training production staff to ensure all services are delivered in alignment with TMLP standards and best management practices (BMPs).
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, including $200K in landscape enhancements and $100K in contracts annually.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals promptly, adhering to TMLP pricing model and standards.
  • Proactively follow up on pending proposals to increase close rates and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Support the collections process by assisting Account Coordinators when they are unable to reach clients or secure payments.
  • Regularly connect with and cultivate strong relationships with key “Most Wanted” clients to become their trusted resource for landscaping and irrigation services.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures, setting a positive example as a standard for other employees to follow.
  • Consistently demonstrate and embody the company’s core values in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper use of all TMLP assets, including vehicles, shop areas, field offices, and client job sites.

Minimum Required Experience And Education

  • 2–5 years of experience in the landscaping industry
  • At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience
  • Proficient with technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years
  • Associates degree in Business Administration preferred
