The Director, Walmart and Club Channels will be responsible for leading the creation of omni-channel strategies/plans for the Walmart, Sam's, Costco and BJ's Club businesses across North America (NA). This position will integrate category management with brand strategies and pricing to create a competitive advantage at the customer level (e.g. channel and best practices, channel/customer insights, trade management and communication deployment). The incumbent will set the overall strategic framework, vision, policies, resources and expectations for all areas of responsibility within the organization (through driving change, innovation and growth). He/She is charged with the lead role in mentoring and developing the associates in this channel (across the NA region).

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the aligned strategic/tactical direction of the Walmart, Sam's, Costco and BJ's Club businesses. Supports the development/attainment of the overall strategic plan and annual operating plan (AOP) - In conjunction with the producer business unit (PBU) presidents. Will own the profit and loss (P&L) for Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco and BJ's in the United States (US) and Canada.
  • Leads with Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, Category Planning and Channel/Customer Marketing leadership in developing objectives, initiatives and setting priorities. Responsible for channel and goal agreement/achievement with customers.
  • Drives effective communication (up and down) of strategic initiatives, team performance and business results.
  • Responsible for the personal growth/development of talent/teams with Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco and BJ's club channels for NA.

Key Experience

  • 15 or more years of experience building a track record of best-in-class omni-channel and category planning capabilities in Senior Leadership positions within the Consumer/Commercial Products industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Sales, Channel Marketing and Category/Trade Marketing Management (Club Channels - Desired)
  • Consumer Marketing/Categories experience – Desired
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Advanced degree is preferred.
