Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial statements; reconcile bank and all other balance sheet accounts; prepare assigned journal entries; respond to manager inquiries; and complete special projects.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

This position is hybrid. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP, Titanium Healthcare policies, and internal control standards
  • Ensure general ledger and sub-ledger are reconciled and reconciling items are resolved
  • Ensure automated interfaces to the general ledger are functioning as intended
  • Prepare schedules, supporting documents, account reconciliations, and variance analyses for management
  • Identify and communicate accounting adjustments to management
  • Prepare reports and deliver recommendations for balance sheet and statement reviews
  • May be accountable for the coordination, compilation, and verification of financial reports and analyses
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of policies and procedures
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for change to improve performance
  • Utilize system queries and download, including Excel functions (pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
  • Participate in month end close activities including preparation of journal entries
  • Perform variance analysis
  • Research and resolve questionable entries (includes standard monthly data and ad-hoc requests)
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and ensures that general ledger and sub-ledger are reconciled with resolution to reconciling items
  • Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items in a timely manner
  • Create adjusting journal entries required to correct balances of general ledger accounts
  • Provide requisite supporting documentation to substantiate journal entry
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Who You Are

  • Have working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting procedures
  • Knowledge and ability to translate data into accurate financial and management reports
  • Aptitude for numbers, organization skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of detailed accounting functions and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to build good internal relationships, work cross-functionally with multiple departments across the organization, and external third parties
  • Ability to perform moderately complex special projects
  • Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and NetSuite)
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Experience researching solutions for moderate to difficult accounting issues

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, finance, or accounting
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience in financial analysis and preparing financial reports
  • Distraction-free home workspace with a secure internet connection
