Salary: $180,000 - $215,000 per year
Contract type: Full time
Collaborative Robotics is redefining how humans interact with robotics and automation, and our digital platform is a critical part of that mission. As a Product UX Designer, you’ll lead the design of customer-facing digital tools, shaping how operators, managers, and customers engage with our technology day-to-day. You will be responsible for crafting intuitive, elegant, and scalable interfaces that simplify complex workflows, while maintaining consistency with Cobot’s evolving design language.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll partner directly with product leads, engineers, and customers to discover problems, explore solutions, and deliver polished designs that delight users and drive business value. You’ll have ownership over the UX of a core platform and the opportunity to influence the design of internal tools and new product experiences as we grow.

We’re looking for a designer who combines systems thinking with meticulous craft, who can zoom out to map entire user journeys and zoom in to perfect the smallest details.

Collaborative Robotics is a team of innovators and builders redefining the future of human-robot interaction. We are working to realize a world where robots are a trusted extension of your surroundings. They work, adapt, and react around you. Not the other way around.

This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end UX design for Cobot’s customer-facing digital platform, including:
    • Mapping user journeys and workflows for our customer-facing operations and management tools
    • Designing intuitive UI systems and reusable components to support scalable development
  • Translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces through wireframes, prototypes, and polished design artifacts
  • Collaborate closely with product leads, engineers, and customers to identify core problems and co-create solutions
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate and iterate on design hypotheses
  • Help define design requirements across cross-functional teams and ensure high fidelity in execution
  • Support other design projects across the company as needed, including internal tools or standalone experiences
  • Contribute to the evolution of Cobot’s digital design language and platform-wide consistency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related design field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in product/UX design, with a focus on web-based platforms or applications.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality UX and product design in a fast-paced startup or tech company.
  • Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Framer, Adobe CS).
  • Experience designing complex systems or tools with enterprise or operations-facing use cases.
  • Demonstrated user-first mindset with the ability to advocate for simplicity and clarity in design decisions.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across functions.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
  • Willing to occasionally travel.
  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing for both B2B and B2C digital platforms.
  • An exquisite sense of visual design — refined typography, layout, and aesthetics that elevate product quality.
  • Ability to develop brand-consistent UI systems that scale across products and teams.
  • Background in building or contributing to a design system or component library.
  • Prior experience in fast-moving startup environments or cross-functional product teams.
