Summary
This role leads Vizient’s sourcing team for ampiezza, an aggregation group founded by Ochsner Health. The group unites 90+ health systems acting as one single sourcing entity and drives $5B in spend and generates $50M+ in savings annually by aggregating volume across key categories—Physician Preference (PPI), med-surg, pharmacy, and indirect spend—maximizing value, quality and collaboration through transparent governance and clinically integrated, member-driven strategies.
You will manage a team and oversee all aspects of the sourcing process, including market opportunity identification, portfolio development, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management and network services. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovative cost-saving strategies and maintain compliance with contracting standards for ampiezza.

Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

You will manage a team and oversee all aspects of the sourcing process, including market opportunity identification, portfolio development, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management and network services. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovative cost-saving strategies and maintain compliance with contracting standards for ampiezza.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing team in developing and executing contract strategies across complex spend categories (e.g., physician preference items, capital, purchase services) to drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and member satisfaction.
- Build and manage an annual sourcing workplan that encompasses high-impact product and service categories including Med-Surg, Lab, IT, HR, and Facilities.
- Conduct data-driven analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities, process improvements, and enhanced value for ampiezza members.
- Oversee contract negotiations, RFP processes, and supplier relationship management to ensure alignment with Vizient contracting standards and member goals.
- Maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, member health systems, and suppliers to support clinically integrated, member-led sourcing strategies.
- Lead monthly member supply chain meetings and provide insights, outcomes, and strategic updates to the ampiezza Board and Executive Oversight Committees.
- Identify and develop new sourcing opportunities that expand the program offering, enhance member value, and support network revenue growth.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of member savings, ROI, and program impact while driving execution of onboarding, recruitment, and business development strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a healthcare GPO, contracting, or strategic sourcing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging executives and physicians.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical, operational, and financial data to drive decisions.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
