This role provides integrated behavioral health and substance use services within primary care settings.
- Conducts brief, evidence-based screenings and assessments for diverse age groups, addressing mental health and substance use needs.
- Develops and adjusts treatment plans, offers crisis intervention, and facilitates psychiatric hospitalization when necessary.
- Engages patients and families, providing referrals and outreach to enhance engagement.
- Offers consultation to medical staff, participates in team meetings, and promotes system change.
- Ensures documentation complies with policies, maintains confidentiality, and uses electronic health records effectively.
- Adheres to licensing, training, and professional standards, with a focus on cultural competence and diversity.
- Requires a Master’s degree, Maryland licensure, and ideally two years of outpatient experience; bilingual skills are preferred.
