Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Under general supervision of the Deputy Director of Finance, plans, initiates, monitors, directs and
coordinates finance programs including areas such as accounts payable, health care setting management
and cost reporting systems, payroll, special accounting, internal and external financial reports, data control,
affiliation accounting, asset control, cash receipts, cash disbursements, daily investment of idle cash funds,
general accounting and capital accounting. Coordinates the efforts of staff members in initiating and
completing work assignments within the framework of departmental objectives and priorities to ensure the
accurate, timely and systematic flow of documents and reports for the provision of necessary financial
services. Acts in compliance with all applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations and other applicable
external regulatory requirements and/or guidelines.

- Reviews and coordinates plans, activities, programs, practices and operations within the department to

- Participates in staff conferences, attends various meetings with key personnel of other NYC Health +
- Performs other related duties, as directed.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline with an emphasis on accounting and financial systems; and two (2) years of responsible-level experience in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis on financial
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in “1” above; and three(3)years of experience, as described in “1” above, one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity.
