As a Payroll Specialist on the Payroll team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Provides support and ensures timely and accurate processing of payroll records by compiling, organizing, and reviewing for accuracy such as new hire paperwork, terminations, adjustments, and 401k contributions.
  • Support Payroll Department by maintaining shared payroll email inbox, providing timely responses, escalating/rerouting incoming messages as necessary.
  • Work closely with ADP Smart Compliance regarding uploading garnishments, correcting direct deposit errors, maintain Wisely pay card tasks on Payroll’s behalf.
  • Calculate and process manual checks.
  • Support accounting by providing month-end benefits and payroll journal entries to support planned budgets.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience processing payrolls of 1000+ employees
  • Multi-state payroll & multi-state tax experience

Skills:

  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables & V lookup)
  • Able to balance multiple tasks
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, detailed, and efficient
  • Work autonomously
  • Handle-high pressure situations and meet deadlines

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Schedule/In-Office Requirements:

  • Hybrid in Waco, TX or Irving, TX
