Wichita Falls, TX + Surrounding ZIPs

Role Type: PRN / Part-Time/Full-Time

Vellum Health is redefining mobile healthcare through a specialized team of independent vascular access RNs serving patients across skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and in-home care environments. Our clinicians operate autonomously in the field, supported by an experienced clinical and operational team.

If you're ready to step away from 12-hour shifts and rushed unit work—and instead want flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to focus on the quality of care—this is your next chapter.

About The Role

As an Independent Vascular Access RN, you’ll collaborate directly with our facility partners to troubleshoot, place, and manage vascular access devices. You’ll function as both a clinical expert and a problem-solver, bringing precision and confidence to every patient interaction.

This is a mobile field role, with visits dispatched across Wichita Falls and nearby areas based on patient and facility needs. Nurses operate independently with paid mileage and full clinical support available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Insert PICC lines, midlines, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs
  • Use ECG-based confirmation when required
  • Manage and troubleshoot vascular access devices (declotting, line removal, dressing changes, etc.)
  • Perform port access and de-access procedures
  • Document procedures and communicate findings to facilities and the Vellum clinical team
  • Educate bedside staff on CVAD maintenance and vascular access best practices
  • Deliver confident, independent clinical care in the field

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Active Texas RN license
  • 2+ years of recent PICC, midline, or vascular access experience
  • Proficient with ultrasound guidance and mobile navigation systems
  • Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
  • Holds BLS certification
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable using a smartphone for mobile charting

Schedule Options

  • Full-Time: 3–4 shifts per week (typically 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m)
  • Part-Time: 2+ shifts per week
  • PRN: Minimum of 4 shifts per month, including occasional weekends
  • Flexible scheduling based on coverage needs in the Wichita Falls region

What We Provide

  • Competitive per-visit compensation (flat rate or tiered by service type)
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • 24/7 clinical escalation support
  • Ongoing training and credentialing assistance
  • Supportive team culture built around autonomy and clinical excellence
