As the Building Maintenance/Painter at The Villages at Southern Hills in Tulsa OK, you will be responsible for ensuring that the building, equipment, and utilities are maintained in accordance with the facility policies and local, state, and federal regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure proper preparation of walls and surfaces for painting.
  • Cleaning and proper storage of painting supplies
  • Proper storage of paint and texturing materials.
  • Assist with other areas in facility as needed.
  • Repair drywall and wall surfaces
  • Texture walls and surfaces
  • Pain walls and surfaces
  • Physically capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Ensure the property and building interior is always clean, as well as machinery and equipment.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations.
  • Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skill in reading blueprints, shop drawings and sketches.
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment and practices associated with painting.
  • Knowledge of the principles of record keeping and records management.
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
  • Skill in interacting with people of different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
  • May be required to work outside of normal work hours.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of building maintenance or related experience, with at least two (2) years’ applicable painting/carpentry/tape and bead/drywall expertise; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
