About The Role
We are partnered with a well-known manufacturing company who is seeking a highly motivated Plant Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations at the Oklahoma City facility. This role is responsible for managing financial reporting, inventory, internal controls, and company policies. You will collaborate with corporate teams and plant leadership to ensure accurate financial closings, support strategic initiatives, and develop local finance talent.

This role is responsible for managing financial reporting, inventory, internal controls, and company policies. You will collaborate with corporate teams and plant leadership to ensure accurate financial closings, support strategic initiatives, and develop local finance talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis for the plant.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Manage the annual physical inventory process and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure SOX compliance.
- Lead the standard cost setting process and manage material cost data.
- Partner with plant and finance leadership to support business goals and drive performance.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, including succession planning and career development.
- Communicate financial results and insights to support operational decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), Microsoft Office, and financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion).
- Change management experience and ability to drive process improvements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
