Summary:
The Communications Specialist will support ADT’s 360 communications team, which leads both internal and external initiatives across product PR, brand storytelling, executive visibility, employee engagement, and corporate positioning. This role plays a critical part in keeping team operations running smoothly while contributing to content development, campaign planning, and execution support across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident writing across channels and audiences.

This role plays a critical part in keeping team operations running smoothly while contributing to content development, campaign planning, and execution support across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident writing across channels and audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft and edit content for internal newsletters, executive announcements, external newsroom articles, social media captions, and PR materials
- Assist with and own elements of planning and logistics for product launches, press events, activations, executive panel participation, and award submissions
- Support executive thought leadership coordination, including speaker intake, awards tracking, and preparation of bios, headshots, and topic summaries
- Maintain campaign trackers, shared documentation, editorial calendars, and press archives across internal platforms
- Maintain and manage a master content and editorial calendar across internal and external channels
- Develop post campaign recap reports
- Provide competitive and industry research for team leads in advance of a campaign launch or product announcement
- Manage media communication for requests for product samples, coordinate shipping of product samples to publications and the return of products
- Support partnership communications by tracking deliverables, coordinating messaging handoffs, and helping align timelines across internal and external stakeholders

- Consumer media relations skills (including experience pitching media)
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, adapt quickly to new requests

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Trello)
- Professional Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing support role and/or internship, in-house or at an agency
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Desire to learn and develop specialist skills, becoming autonomous with day-to-day responsibilities and leading larger projects and initiatives within workstreams
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to type on a keyboard and operate a PC
- Ability to transport materials or equipment or lifting, moving, carrying objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis
- Ability to work in office and perform in corporate environment
- Ability to travel for work related requirements as needed (media meetings, brand partnership requirements)
- Writing, talking, hearing on the phone (continually=67-100% of workday)
- Ability to synthesize conversations and echo information back in subsequent conversations or within a project management platform
- Utilization of project management tools
- The Communications Specialist position is a hybrid role based in Boca Raton, FL at the ADT HQ
- Candidates must be onsite three days a week, the other two days are remote, offering flexibility while still engaging in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Occasional off-site support may be required for media events, production shoots, or conferences
- Flexibility is required for limited after-hours availability during key launches or campaigns
- Travel required occasionally to meet with external partners, meetings at HQ in Boca Raton, and/or industry events as needed
