Primary Responsibility: As MIRATECH continues its impressive growth trajectory, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Procurement to lead and oversee all procurement activities within the organization. This role will be pivotal in developing and executing procurement strategies to support our expanding operations and ensure the seamless supply of materials and components to meet our manufacturing needs. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Finance, the Director of Procurement will work closely with senior leadership to streamline purchasing across all locations, minimize spend, and maximize operational output.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies aligned with MIRATECH's growth and operational needs.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team. Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments such as Operations, Engineering, and Finance to forecast material requirements, manage budgets, and support production timelines.
  • Streamlined Purchasing Across Locations: Ensure purchasing processes are optimized across all locations, identifying opportunities to reduce spend and improve purchasing efficiency. Drive standardization of procurement practices to ensure alignment with company-wide objectives and maximize output.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement procurement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize procurement costs.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage risks associated with global supply chains, including price volatility, regulatory changes, and potential disruptions. Develop contingency plans and strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track procurement performance metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory management, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Technology Integration: Lead the implementation and optimization of procurement software and tools to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making.

What Qualifies You

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in manufacturing or a related industry is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
    • In-depth understanding of procurement strategies, sourcing, and supply chain management.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive decision-making.
    • Proven ability to manage budgets and drive cost-saving initiatives.
    • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., Syspro).
