Retail Food Associate

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-time Retail Food Associate at a private preparatory school located in Lynchburg, VA.

• Must be available to work as follows: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 1p-6p
• Pay rate: $14.50 per hour
  
  

What You Will Do

• Preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly storing food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean and sanitize the work area and equipment
• Assist with the organization, stocking, and sanitation of coolers, freezers, and storerooms: all items covered, labeled, and dated
• Transport food and supplies to the serving area: assist in the set-up and maintenance of self-serve vending
• Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
  
  

What You Will Need

• 1-2 years of related food service experience required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Able to work independently
• High levels of professionalism, strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification is preferred.
