What Success Looks Like
- Manage the production landscaping budget by analyzing monthly P&L reports, forecasting costs, and making real-time adjustments to maintain profitability without sacrificing quality
- Cultivate and expand client relationships through regular site visits, detailed proposals, and proactive follow-up to identify new opportunities and drive revenue growth
- Streamline field operations by identifying bottlenecks such as scheduling gaps or material delays and implementing solutions like route optimization, standardized checklists, and cross-functional task assignments
- Lead a focused weekly Field Manager meeting with a clear agenda, progress reviews, and action-item tracking to ensure alignment on safety, quality, and project milestones
- Review and adjudicate back-charge requests by verifying labor records and material invoices before approving or denying charges in accordance with company policy
- Assign and balance Field Manager territories by mapping project locations to crew capacity, adjusting workloads to prevent overextension, and ensuring timely coverage
- Oversee warranty repairs and final job inspections by coordinating crew dispatch and client communication to confirm every installation meets our standards
- Collaborate with Field Managers during installation to ensure design plans are executed flawlessly, controlling labor hours and material usage to stay within budget
- Maintain an up-to-date project schedule in our operations platform, flagging potential delays early and coordinating with Finance to issue accurate milestone-based invoices
- Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-profile client issues, responding with urgency, professionalism, and clear communication until each concern is fully resolved
- Monitor labor performance and adjusting crew sizes and assignments to align with budgeted labor standards and project demands
- Support inventory management by conducting part counts, reconciling stock discrepancies, and working with purchasing to reorder supplies before levels run low
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned that support the mission and core values of The Loving Companies, ensuring alignment with our culture of community, integrity, and impact
What Sets You Apart
- Seven (7) or more years of progressive landscape operations experience, including at least three years in a leadership role responsible for multi-site production
- Proven track record of P&L ownership, with the ability to analyze financial reports, forecast budgets, and drive margin improvements
- Strong operational mindset, experienced in diagnosing workflow challenges and implementing process improvements that boost efficiency and scalability
- Excellent client-facing abilities, with a history of building trust through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and dependable follow-through
- Hands-on approach to site management, comfortable working alongside crews to ensure design intent, safety standards, and quality benchmarks are consistently met
- Skilled in using scheduling, resource-management, and ERP platforms to track progress, allocate resources, and maintain accurate project records
- Deep understanding of landscape installation techniques, safety regulations, and quality-control best practices that guarantee lasting results
- Outstanding organizational talent, able to juggle multiple projects, anticipate needs, and keep teams aligned under shifting priorities
- Forward-thinking leader who welcomes new ideas, pilots emerging tools or technologies, and scales successful innovations across the division
