Title: Quality Control Inspector

Reports To: Quality Manager

Status: Full-Time/Hourly (40 hours/week; additional hours as needed to support department and individual goals).

Location: Sierra Plastics / El Paso, Texas

Job Requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Industrial Truck License

Job Summary:

To review product, in-process, inform Production personnel of Non-Conformance's and suspect material.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist Production Teams in performing First/Last-Piece and In-Process Inspections and Control Plan Verification (Check-off) Sheet documentation at required frequencies, in situations where the Production Team is unable to do these properly.
• Monitors correct Part ID, Lot Control, labeling, packaging, and handling of all part numbers in the production area for conformance to Quality Assurance requirements.
• Report non conformances detected through Quality Technician and ensure proper ID, segregation, and disposition of non-conformance material.
• Assist with maintenance, verification and audit of Production Gauging and measurement equipment.
• Define lot and sample size to lines than takes randomly samples per each line.
• Layer auditing each line once per shift, to ensure that the proper essential inspection components and process are being utilized.
• Perform carton quantity audits.
