ABOUT THE POSITION
Numi’s Social Media Manager is a friendly, energetic, eager and organized individual who supports the brand through online social engagement. They will own Numi’s organic social media and influencer strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for content creation, storytelling, community engagement, influencer collaboration, and performance tracking across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook. We are seeking someone who can translate the brand’s passion in tea to highly engaging and trending content that would draw in existing and new target consumers. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about wellness, digitally native, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will have or be:
- Results in significantly growing a brand community (social channels & FB groups).
- Proven success in generating multiple pieces of viral content.
- Ability to leverage existing relationships with tea, beverage and/or wellness influencers.
- Comfortable filming self in branded content.
- Warm, inviting, friendly and welcoming presence and is a good listener and excellent communicator both verbally and written.
- An individual who possesses a sense of urgency along with the ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
- An individual who embraces newly assigned projects with enthusiasm and proactively seeks out other assignments as time permits.
- An individual who is able to successfully work independently and as part of a team.
ABOUT YOU
- 3–5 years experience in social media management, preferably in indie/start-up CPG, food & beverage, or wellness.
- 2-3 years experience managing a high-performing internal social, influencer and/or affiliate team.
- Proven history in growing followers, engagement and views with a sustainable and brand-forward strategy.
- Superb creative sensibility with an eye for aesthetics and storytelling.
- Strong UGC filming and editing capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with social tools like Later, Planoly, Canva, CapCut, Meta Suite, and TikTok Creator Tools.
- Deep understanding of social media trends and platform nuances.
- Highly collaborative, self-starter and team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detailed with excellent project management capabilities.
- Works well under pressure and able to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office – including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Passion for tea, wellness, and sustainability is a big plus.
- High School & College degree
RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Strategy & Creation
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Create visually stunning and engaging content showcasing Numi teas, true to the brand DNA, while nestling it within the right trends & cultural conversations.
- Produce high-quality photos and videos, including product shots, lifestyle content, and educational tutorials.
- Write compelling captions that reflect the brand’s voice and educate followers about tea origins, benefits, and creative usage occasions.
- Generate and execute social media contests, giveaways, and user-generated content campaigns
- Deliver engaging UGC and branded ads procured in-house and through creators. Partner with marketing team and agency partners to test & implement high-performing hooks & benefits.
- Plan and maintain content calendar aligned with seasonal campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments.
- Directing and drafting scripts and storylines for compelling founder content.
- Stay current on latest social trends in food, beverage, wellness and lifestyle.
Community Management
- Co-monitor with the marketing coordinator to respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all social platforms in a timely and on-brand voice.
- Build relationships with our Numi community through meaningful engagement.
- Moderate user-generated content and encourage customers to share Numi tea experiences.
- Guide marketing coordinator in handling customer inquiries and direct complex issues to appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with marketing coordinator on customer review updates to utilize on social posts
- Foster a positive, inclusive community atmosphere that celebrates tea, wellness and Numi’s brand promise to the consumer.
Influencer & Partnership Marketing
- Identify and engage tea enthusiasts, wellness influencers, and lifestyle content creators for paid influencer, creator or ad content. Develop a thoughtful recruitment strategy, considering various negotiation tactics.
- Develop and manage influencer partnerships and ambassador programs
- Coordinate product seeding from nano to celebrity influencers.
- Manage influencer content so it on point to strategy & Numi talking points
- Track and analyze influencer campaign performance and ROI, providing recommended optimizations for future campaigns.
- Seek & build partnerships with resonating brands for potential giveaways, product collaborations, etc.
- Foster and manage a growing affiliate program that evangelizes Numi Tea.
Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Track key social media metrics including engagement rates, reach, impressions, and conversion across all channels.
- Analyze content performance to identify trends and optimize future content strategy.
- Create monthly social media performance reports with actionable insights.
- Conduct A/B testing on content formats, posting times, and messaging.
- Monitor social media trends and algorithm changes to adapt strategy accordingly.
- Surface highly trending products to Marketing & Innovation leadership.
Base salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 depending upon experience and location.
