Job Description
DUTIES: Create GM’s next generation connected and contextual navigation system and focus on creating the world's best in-car navigation experience that would run on the various vehicle and brands Infotainment displays. Work closely with the business owner(s), user experience teams, supplier(s), and a passionate group of development and other execution and engineering
teams. Set the vision, define the strategy, and drive the execution to achieve market success. Set and communicate a clear vision and strategic roadmap for GM’s next generation connected and adaptive navigation system to achieve market leadership. Collaborate with business owners, user experience teams, suppliers, development, and engineering teams to
guide the product development process and align all relevant stakeholders. Own the entire product lifecycle from inception, through MVP launch, and ongoing enhancements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality user-focused navigation solutions. Define and develop intuitive, effective user experiences and interfaces that address user needs and optimize navigation
performance across diverse customer-facing channels (in-vehicle screen, mobile app, etc). Conduct ongoing analysis of the market landscape and competitor offerings to contribute to product development and strategy definition. Utilize data, user feedback, and research to continuously evolve product strategy, identify trends, and improve the user experience.
Understand the architecture, technical aspects, and unit economics of the navigation product to ensure effective integration into GM’s vehicle platforms. Oversee and ensure crisp execution of product initiatives, focusing on timely delivery and quality outcomes. Design and adapt the product for multi-regional use to ensure relevance in various global markets. Provide mentorship on user-centered design processes and maintain strong communication with stakeholders to facilitate seamless collaboration and decision-making. 20% domestic travel required. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study and 9 years of experience as a Product Manager or related role. Eight years of experience with: Leading product management through the entire lifecycle, from concept and MVP launch to continuous iteration based on user feedback, usage data, and market demands. Five years of experience with: Developing and managing location-based products and services, including the integration of map-centric features and the optimization of their visual and functional design; and Driving product delivery with a focus on optimizing the user experience and ensuring seamless end-to-end functionality. Three years of experience
with: Evaluating technical designs and financial viability, including scalability, production costs, and profitability, to ensure sustainable development of complex products and platforms; Building customer-centric products in mobility, automotive, and productivity domains, ensuring alignment with user needs and market trends; Defining and creating intuitive user experiences for automotive products across diverse customer-facing channels and devices; Conducting in-depth market analysis and competitive benchmarking to define product strategy
and development priorities; Leveraging data analytics, user feedback, and research to make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance user experiences and meet business objectives; and Integrating automotive products into vehicle platforms by balancing technical requirements, vehicle architecture considerations, and economic constraints.
