We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team and help ensure we are appropriately staffed to provide exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling nursing and clinical staff, tracking attendance, and maintaining optimal staffing levels across all shifts. This position works closely with department heads, HR, and frontline staff to support staffing needs and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies. The Staffing Coordinator will also be responsible for scheduling resident medical appointments and coordinating transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily and long-term scheduling for nursing and clinical staff.
  • Monitor call-outs and arrange coverage to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Communicate with departments to assess staffing needs and adjust accordingly.
  • Use scheduling software to update and maintain schedules.
  • Track employee availability, time-off requests, and shift changes.
  • Ensure compliance with state staffing ratios and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in onboarding new hires by coordinating schedules and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff credentials and training deadlines.
  • Support emergency staffing situations during high census or staff shortages.
  • Schedule resident appointments and work with the Transport Department to ensure timely drop offs and pickups for our residents.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in staffing, scheduling, or HR—preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare staffing ratios and compliance regulations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
  • An ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to urgent needs.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Point, Click, Care
  • Previous work in long-term care, hospital, or medical office setting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, etc.) is a plus.

Schedule:

  • Full Time
  • Monday - Friday; Occasional weekends as needed.
  • 8am to 5pm
