How You'll Contribute
As Assistant Controller you will help us reach our strategic growth goals by assisting in the organization's financial planning to support the construction management division.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Educational and experience requirements include: 4-year Business/Accounting degree with advanced degree or CPA preferred. Extensive experience (5-10+ years) and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management required. Construction industry background and knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial/accounting principles, practices and standards as applied to the construction industry is highly desirable. Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills vital. Demonstrated decision making and multi-tasking skills essential. Experience with banking and financial professionals is vital. Must possess a strong working knowledge of Excel.

How You'll Contribute
As Assistant Controller you will help us reach our strategic growth goals by assisting in the organization's financial planning to support the construction management division.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Participate in the formation and implementation of short and long-range financial planning that supports the achievement of the construction management division’s strategic objectives.
- Manage accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, general ledger, bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
- Create intercompany billings between related entities.
- Management of the company's credit card program.
- Perform monthly closings and prepare monthly financial reports and Work in Progress reporting.
- Consistently analyze project financial data and clearly communicate project financial status to leadership.
- Lead cash flow projections and cost variance reporting on construction management projects.
- Recommend and implement accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and proper internal controls.
- Participate in the construction management division’s annual budgeting and planning processes.
- Manage the connection between project management software and accounting ERP system.
- User and vendor set up for the company's accounts payable processing system.
- Assist in planning and coordinating all audit activity of the construction management division.
