The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting all Human Resources functions with a concentration on the new hire onboarding process. This role will also serve a vital role in managing and maintaining employee files to ensure compliance. This role will also help support the department with auditing and billing functions.
Requirements
Essential Functions
Administers and manages the entire onboarding process for all LOGAN new hires.
- Be available to assist the hiring managers, applicants, and new hires throughout the process.
- Manages, audits, and allocates the billing process that are incurred through the onboarding process, which includes working directly with third party vendors when necessary.
- Posts all open LOGAN jobs internally and externally through the HRIS, monitoring hiring managers ability to move applicants through various status changes and ensuring applicants receive a timely response to their application before closing the job requisition.
- Creates and monitors applicant tracking methodologies and produces reporting trends to the CHRO
- Assists the Senior HR Manager in the screening phase of all applicants being considered for employment including the following pre-employment checks:
- Limited criminal history
- Full criminal history
- Bureau of Motor Vehicles Report
- Employment checks
- Reference check
- National Sex Offender Registry check
- Violent Offender Registry check
- Education verification check
- CNA Registry check
- Drug screen
- Coordinates and receives all LOGAN new hire packet materials from the hiring managers and ensures accuracy and timely completion.
- Coordinates and communicates with each program’s trainers in IN and MI for all electronic new hire orientation and employee departmental training schedules.
- Recommends strategies to improve new hire candidate recruitment, selection, and to retain current employees.
- Follows all LOGAN policies and procedures related to the new staff onboarding.
- Assists the Senior HR Manager with all reporting for compliance and audit preparations, specifically assisting in the management of all annual/semi-annual compliance related agency audits.
- Assists the HR Team, Directors, Trainers for IN and MI, Residential Recruitment Coordinator, and Marketing Team with identifying opportunities, logistical preparations, setup, and execution of internal and external career fairs.
- Assists and participates in monthly on-site LOGAN orientation with the LOGAN CEO.
- Processes network authorization forms and works with the IT department on behalf of all LOGAN departments and the agency with the set deadlines.
- Ensures timeliness and accuracy of employee information in the current HRIS system
- Providing reporting information on current trends within the LOGAN hiring process as well as the outside marketplace.
- Completes the administrative tasks, such as verifications, billing, report auditing, for the entire HR Department
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Willing to serve as a versatile team member to the human resources department and grow their knowledge in other areas of the Human Resources department
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Secondary Education Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a human resource or recruiting role required.
- Experience with an HRIS system and troubleshooting technology is required
- Self-initiates activities with the ability to plan and organize with attention to detail
- Ability to work with a diversified work force with a positive and professional demeanor
- General knowledge of onboarding processes and legal standards of hiring practices
- Ability to learn, retain, and respond with all legal standards for federal, state, and local guidelines for all facets of the Human Resources Coordinator role
- Data gathering and analysis as well as problem analysis and problem solving
- Immediate computer, internet, and website literacy skills with ability to troubleshoot minor technological difficulties
- Available for limited travel and flexible work schedule to meet employee needs
