BASIC FUNCTION: Under general direction of the Assistant Superintendent, this position serves as Personnel’s credential subject matter expert; performs a variety of highly accountable professional level work related to credentialing and compensation; Employer-Employee Relations and performs related duties as assigned. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Serve as confidential assistant to an Assistant Superintendent; perform a variety of clerical and technical tasks and serve as liaison with other District staff and the public. Plan, attend and compile summaries of actions taken for meetings regarding negotiations, attendance, budgets and curriculum development. Compose, prepare and assemble materials such as routine correspondence and agenda items and research, collect and compile statistical, financial, or other diverse and specialized information. Provide services to cabinet-level officials who may participate in or otherwise advise negotiating team activities; take minutes for meetings and provide follow-up assistance on sensitive and confidential collective bargaining materials. Analyze and recommend salary placement for certificated and management positions. Participate in the development and presentation of statistics and reports pertaining to compensation. Act as Personnel’s Credentials Subject Matter Expert: -Maintain current knowledge of CTC regulations and credentialing. -Represent Personnel at meetings. -Act as first responder to credential questions from Personnel, Budget, Payroll, and others. Work with Technology and Curriculum Instruction and Assessment in initiating, auditing, finalizing and running lists, forms and reports. Create contracts for new certificated employees according to district policy, verifying accuracy of salary placement. Compose correspondence covering a wide variety of personnel matters. Perform related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by college-level coursework in a related field or increasingly responsible experience in a central personnel office preferably from a public employment environment. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED TO APPLICATION:
