Job Summary:

Emerson is a technology & engineering company providing innovative solutions for customers in industrial and residential markets. They are seeking a Software Engineering CO-OP who will participate in all facets of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and unit tests development tasks, sometimes via pair programming

• Participates in requirements gathering and breakdown sessions with the customer and the development team

• Assists with functional testing and other tasks as needed

• Learn and grow into a professional and productive team member

Qualifications:

Required:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, or related field

• At least one object-oriented programming course completed prior to co-op

• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred:

• Experience with Java, .NET, iOS, Android, or other high-level programming

• Relational database/SQL knowledge

• HTML/CSS

• JavaScript

• Sophomore or higher class status

• Ability to return for multiple co-op rotations
