Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney is working to transform the future of flight by designing and servicing advanced engines. They are seeking an Analytics and Data Engineer to join their Commercial Analytics and Data Engineering team, responsible for developing systems that analyze aircraft and flight data to enhance fleet performance.


Responsibilities:

• Analytics development using statistical analysis, physics-based models, and artificial intelligence efforts applied to operational fleet data.

• Deploying algorithms to customer facing systems to drive engine maintenance and improve fleet health.

• Integrating external or new datasets into existing data pipelines.

• Controls software improvements and development for health monitoring functions and algorithms.

• Continuously monitoring and testing the system to ensure optimized performance.


Qualifications:


Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

• 2 years of experience in engineering with a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.


Preferred:

• Proficiency with Python, AWS Services, CI/CD, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, SQL, Apache Spark

• Knowledge of gas turbine engines and their operation.

• Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems.

• Familiarity with modern data analysis and signal processing techniques.
