If you’ve worked in fast-casual or full-service restaurant environments and have a passion for teaching, coaching, and driving operational excellence, this role is for you.
How You’ll Make An Impact
You’ll be our go-to expert for all things foodservice training:
- Deliver comprehensive training programs for Store Managers and Associates, focused on guest experience, food safety, food handling, and operational execution.
- Lead training efforts for new store and remodel openings, with special attention to kitchen operations and standards.
- Facilitate and proctor ServSafe Manager Food Handler courses, ensuring compliance with national food safety regulations.
- Partner with operations leadership to identify performance gaps and roll out training solutions to elevate food quality and service.
- Coach and mentor other trainers to build consistency across our foodservice programs—corporate and franchise alike.
- Ensure teams are trained on equipment handling, food prep protocols, and guest engagement best practices.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Minimum 3 years of people and business management experience, preferably in fast-casual or full-service restaurants.
- At least 1 year of foodservice-specific experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on training experience (running training stores, classroom/webinar facilitation, etc.).
- Strong understanding of restaurant/kitchen operations, food safety, and guest service standards.
- Ability to present and coach effectively across diverse teams and learning styles.
- Knowledge of adult learning methods and food safety regulations (ServSafe preferred).
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and learning platforms.
- Valid driver’s license; must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and traveling regularly (with overnight stays as needed).
- ServSafe Alcohol Training Certification.
- Experience in instructional design or creating kitchen SOPs/job aids.
- Familiarity with LMS tools, SharePoint, and Adobe platforms.
- Hybrid schedule: Remote Mondays and Fridays; in-office Tuesday–Thursday in La Plata, MD.
- Travel ~65–75%, including overnight stays, especially during new store openings.
- Use of personal vehicle required; mileage and expenses fully reimbursed.
