Key Responsibilities
- Insurance Verification Accurately verify insurance eligibility and benefits for PPO and Medicaid plans, ensuring that patient coverage information is up-to-date and complete.
- Communication Collaborate with dental offices, insurance companies, and patients to resolve insurance-related questions and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Documentation Maintain clear and organized records of patient insurance verifications, communications, and any actions taken in accordance with company policies.
- Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service to patients, helping them understand their coverage and answer questions regarding out-of-pocket costs or policy details.
- Collaboration Work closely with the dental office teams and billing department to ensure accurate coding and billing of procedures based on verified insurance benefits.
- Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental insurance verification, including PPO and Medicaid experience.
- Technical Skills Proficiency in dental insurance systems and platforms. Knowledge of dental terminology, claim submission processes, and insurance policies.
- Communication Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain insurance information to patients and team members.
- Attention to Detail Ability to accurately input and manage patient insurance information with a high level of precision.
- Work Environment Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting, managing time and tasks without direct supervision.
- Availability Must be available to work full-time (32+ hours per week) in a remote capacity.
- Experience with dental software such as Denticon
- Prior experience working with DSO (Dental Support Organizations) and managing large volumes of insurance verifications.
- Knowledge of insurance verification best practices and regulatory requirements.
