Position Summary:
AffirmedRx is seeking a hands-on, patient-centered leader to join our growing Marketing team as the Member Communications Director. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of all member communications, both current and future, with a focus on evolving from single-channel to multi-channel digital strategies. The Director will prioritize and manage messaging related to formulary changes, cost-saving opportunities, and other key health updates. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Formulary Strategy, Client Management, and Data Analytics—this role ensures communications are accurate, timely, and secure. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing.

The position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing.
What you will do:
Member Communication Strategy and Execution:
- Build a marketing communications plan to meet key business objectives
- Streamline templates for letters, postcards, and digital formats (email, app notifications)
- Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and patient-centered across all channels
- Manage customization to meet client and regulatory requirements
- Prepare for enhanced digital engagement using QR codes and online tools
- Oversee end-to-end communication workflows with attention to detail and timeliness
- Review incoming requests, assign tasks, and ensure seamless follow-through
- Monitor and manage project timelines and cross-functional deliverables
- Maintain compliance, accuracy, and security throughout the communication lifecycle
- Coordinate with print and mail vendors to ensure timely, high-quality output
- Establish and enforce quality control processes for both print and digital delivery
- Track vendor performance and maintain effective working relationships
- Develop and implement the transition to multi-channel distribution, including digital-first formats
- Work closely with internal teams (Clinical, Analytics, Legal, Finance, etc.) to align messaging and timelines
- Lead campaign planning with external agencies, vendors, and product partners
- Facilitate meetings, confirm alignment, and resolve roadblocks quickly
- Foster a culture of teamwork, positivity, and solution-oriented thinking
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing or Communications, preferably within the healthcare industry
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong problem-solving and facilitation abilities
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Proven track record of effective collaboration and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization
- Eagerness to learn, adapt quickly, and contribute to cross-functional projects with a team-first mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools is required
