Job Summary:

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) operates the Nevada National Security Site, focusing on high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities. They are seeking a motivated Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making processes by developing dashboards, analyzing data, and collaborating with teams to deliver effective data solutions.


Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or similar BI platforms.

• Gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources to support business initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver effective data solutions.

• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets to support decision-making.

• Assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through quality control checks.

• Create and update developer guides for dashboards and reporting processes, including documentation for data models, reporting processes, and dashboard functionalities.

• Maintain, update, and optimize legacy dashboards, including redesigning them as needed for improved usability, utility, and performance.

• Other duties as assigned to support Enterprise Excellence team.


Qualifications:


Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and at 2 years’ of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a data analytics or reporting role.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Strong skills in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).

• Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills to foster stakeholder relationships and program success.

• Detail-oriented and organized, with a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required.

• Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance.

• Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age.


Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, information systems, or a related field.

• Proficiency with Power BI (preferred) or other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.

• Experience with SQL for querying databases preferred.
