Registered Nurse (RN) Training Educator

Schedule: Hours vary Monday through Friday, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Momentum is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Training Educator to join our dynamic nursing team! The Registered Nurse (RN) Training Educator will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and facilitating new employee orientation and ongoing trainings of clinical and direct care staff.

In addition to providing education and training, the Registered Nurse (RN) Training Educator will provide nursing support, as needed, in our group homes and other programs.

RN Training Educator Essential Responsibilities:

• Plans, organizes, and facilitates training to meet regulations and training needs in accordance with Momentum’s mission and educational objectives.
• Assists in maintaining training records in Relias.
• Implements Specialized Procedures/Skills training quarterly, annually and as needed.
• Implements Restricted Health Care Plan training and monitoring.
• Facilitates on-site in-service training for ADP/Residential teams, including LVNs and RNs as needed.
• Supports training team with DSP training of introductory clinical skills/monitoring.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and business needs.
  
  

RN Training Educator Qualifications:

• Valid registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California; required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an RN; required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in the field of intellectual, developmentally disabled or human services field; highly preferred
• Prior experience in training and developing staff; highly preferred
• Valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California; required
• Clean driving record with DMV driver's record printout; required
• Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
