Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients with dementia, fostering a positive and reassuring environment.
- Implement individualized care plans developed in collaboration with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, and health status; communicate effectively with family and care team.
- Ensure a safe environment by identifying and minimizing potential hazards.
- Support clients in maintaining their dignity and independence as much as possible.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as per care plan, following all safety protocols.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and cognitive stimulation tailored to their abilities.
- Follow all California state regulations and agency policies related to caregiving and health and safety.
