Overview
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist to work in our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) in Yonkers and Mt. Vernon. The Employment Specialist is part of a small multidisciplinary team that provides support and assistance to individuals (aged 4 throughout the lifespan). The salary range is $48,000-$50,000/year.

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist to work in our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) in Yonkers and Mt. Vernon. The Employment Specialist is part of a small multidisciplinary team that provides support and assistance to individuals (aged 4 throughout the lifespan). The salary range is $48,000-$50,000/year.
Responsibilities
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Enrolling individuals into wrap around services and conducting initial engagement and assessments for new referrals.
- Completing initial and ongoing assessments, per grant requirements.
- Conducting Social Determinants of Health assessments.
- Providing person centered educational and employment support and emotional support to help individuals reach their goals.
- Participating in multidisciplinary care planning meetings & grand rounds.
- Assisting the team with crisis intervention and stabilization, as needed, to support the client.
- Participating in outreach and recruitment activities with the team, forging relationships with community providers to help individuals access care and vocational/educational opportunities.
- Tracking data regarding new referrals and progress towards employment and educational goals.
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health-related field, social services, or business.
- Experience delivering employment or education services.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Care Coordination and Clinical Team.
- Strong knowledge & interest in working with individuals with behavioral health challenges.
- Familiarity with community resources.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required.
