Requirements
This position is for Perishable and Deli Manager. It covers working in meat, deli, and produce and learning all aspects of running the departments. Inventory, people management, organization are necessary skills.
PRODUCE MANAGER
Essential Job Functions
- Achieves desired gross profit.
- Achieves desired level of productivity.
- Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
- Orders product according to established guidelines.
- Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
- Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce department personnel.
- Follows established guidelines in all personnel issues, interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, discharge, etc.
- Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts.
- Prepares weekly work schedules according to established guidelines.
- Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
- Using pricing/label gun, marks each item with the correct selling price.
- Rotates merchandise according to anticipated shelf life/product expiration dates.
- Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
- Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ensure coolers and cases maintain appropriate temperatures
- Ability to work in temperature extremes, (produce cooler maximum low temperature, 32 degrees).
- Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
- Maintains a neat and clean work area.
- Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds
- Other Duties as assigned

- Follows established safety policies and procedures.
- Works well with others.
- Speak English fluently.
- Ability to legibly write or print
- Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
- Hearing corrected to normal range.
- Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.
