Location: Richland WA

Anticipated Schedule: M-F 8 am-4:30 pm. Occasionally, evenings and weekends

Position Overview

The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in increasing awareness and understanding of Tri-Cities Chaplaincy’s programs and services. This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing the outreach strategies and initiatives that promote the agency’s mission and connect individuals, families, and community partners to available support services as well as promote awareness of these services. This position raises awareness about the various services offered by Ti-Cities Chaplaincy, including hospice, palliative care, bereavement, grief support, , crisis intervention, and Cork’s Place Kids Grief Center. This position will be responsible for organizing and facilitating the outreach efforts of the agency.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience are considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of marketing experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering community education, outreach, or marketing - preferably within the healthcare or hospice industry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for outreach and community events.
  • Must be able to drive independently to community locations as part of regular job duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using various digital tools and social media platforms for marketing and communication purposes.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of hospice care, palliative care, end-of-life services, and related healthcare regulations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $20.23/hour - $25.79/hour

Position Pay Range (or Salary Range): $20.23/hour - $31.36/hour

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Pay Range/Salary Range: The full pay range for this position, from minimum to maximum, based on role responsibilities and market rates.

These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.

Agency Requirements

  • Community Outreach: Participate in education and outreach activities to promote agency programs, including hospice care, advanced planning, and bereavement services.
  • Policy Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and comply with agency policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Confidentiality: Protect patient and agency information per HIPAA guidelines. Only access information on a need-to-know basis.
  • Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation. Maintain a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance per state requirements.
  • Health Requirements: Satisfy state and agency health requirements by providing proof of immunization, declinations, or approved accommodations as applicable.
  • Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.(see attached physical requirements)
  • Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.
  • Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education, policy reviews, and training be designated deadlines.
  • Licensure and Certification: Maintain current licensure(s) and certifications(s) required for the role.
  • Language Proficiency: Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Work Availability: Be available to work as assigned or scheduled.
