GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Physical Plant Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and functioning of the physical plant and equipment at Moody Neuro, along with environmental services, ensuring the cleanliness of the building. These duties will include actual work performed as well as the supervision of physical plant and environmental service staff. The Physical Plant Supervisor will uphold the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization while maintaining confidentiality of personnel and patient/client data.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise Physical Plant staff and assign maintenance and cleaning requests as necessary.
  • Supervise Environmental Service staff members as well as inspection of areas cleaned. Create and utilize an audit to check for quality of services.
  • Delivers safety training in orientation to new hires within the first 3 weeks of onboarding.
  • Develops, implements, and audits driver’s training.
  • Ensure all departmental inspections, maintenance, and repairs are conducted in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Open communication with program director weekly/as needed including progress/status updates of work orders/venders.
  • Respond promptly to all physical plant requests submitted via work order system, email, or phone.
  • Effectively complete work order requests in a timely fashion and document in work order system.
  • Ensure safety and security of all staff (including contract workers) and patients/residents as it relates the physical plant/facility grounds.
  • Inspect and repair/correct (as needed) the following: emergency warning devices, emergency plans, protective equipment and clothing, operations involving hazardous materials, walking and working surfaces, HVAC, lights, sprinklers, security of property, heating and plumbing, water temperature.
  • Inspection, maintenance, and repair in the following areas: electrical, plumbing, A/C heating, structural and mechanical, transportation fleet.
  • Responsible for regular safety duties including but not limited to:
    • Fire Drills
    • Regulatory inspections and documentation for compliance
    • Annual inspection and correction of life safety inspections
  • Perform opening and closing duties, as assigned.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Moody Neuro organizational policy, CARF and other accrediting bodies.
  • Facilitate emergency response, including evacuations and maintenance of the building during potential weather-related emergencies when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Secondary Duties

    • Maintain workshop and supply rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.
    • Perform minor sheetrock repair, site cleaning, painting, and pressure washing, as needed.
    • Organize and move furniture and fixtures for office moves as required.
    • Maintain facility grounds (including but not limited to: daily litter pickup, emptying cigarette butts from courtyard, removal of dead foliage, some landscaping needs, assistance with some activity related projects i.e sensory garden/chicken coop, putting together furniture).

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize time.
  • Ability to perform job tasks within the organization's procedural structure.
  • Must have experience in the following areas:
    • Electrical
    • Carpentry
    • Plumbing
    • Yard Maintenance
    • A/C & Heating
    • Telecommunications
Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

Prefer at least five years of maintenance and general repair experience; skilled in use of carpentry and power tools. Has knowledge of heating/AC, plumbing, electrical, electronics and management experience.

    • Field of vision - the area that can be seen up and down or to the right or left while the eyes are fixed on a given point.
    • Accommodation - adjustment of the lens of the eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This item is especially important when doing near-point work at varying distances from the eye.
