United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Specialist, Early Childhood Education Support to join our team. As a Specialist, Early Childhood Education Support, you will be responsible for ensuring that Child Care partners, as well as Family Child Care providers, develop, implement, integrate, and evaluate systems and procedures for the delivery of high-quality infant/toddler care and education. The Support Specialist, Early Childhood Education is responsible for ensuring that Child Care partners, as well as Family Child Care providers, receive support through training, technical assistance, monitoring,g and coaching, assuring the integration of early childhood education and other service areas

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Education Requirements: Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related Child Development field with 18
credits in Early Childhood Education. Masters preferred.
Experience Requirements: Experience in the theories and principles of child growth and development
and early childhood education; experience in program development and assessment of quality of services; experience working with teachers of young children and their families; experience providing training to staff; three years of prior experience in an Early Head Start or similar early childhood program. Three years of teaching experience in an early childhood program serving children 0 to 5 preferred.
Technology Requirements: Intermediate Word, Beginning Internet Explorer, Excel, and Outlook
Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Must understand Head Start Performance Standards requirements; must have
excellent written and verbal communication skills; Must have excellent organizational skills and proven ability to work within prescribed timelines; Ability to work independently; Analytical and problem-solving skills; Familiarity with various infant and toddler curricula and the ability for assessment.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure systematic support to Child Care partners as well as Family Child Care providers in the area of Education.
- Responsible for education reports generated by the Child Care partners and Family Child Care providers.
- Promote the integration of Education with other service areas.
- Serve as a cooperative member of the Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) team.
- Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of the annual pre-service and teacher planning days.
- Conduct weekly classroom observations at designated sites.
- Guide the planning and implementation of a comprehensive child development program that meets the EHS-CCP definition of curriculum in all program options and settings.
- Apprise the CFE VP and Education Senior Director of the progress of the Program and School Readiness Goals.
- Participate in the evaluation of EHS-CCP program services through the annual Self-assessment/validation process.
- Provide training and technical support as needed to all early care and education programs under the partnership.
- Provide evidence of implementation of a coordinated coaching model with all identified teachers working in programs to the assigned Support Specialist, Early Childhood Education.
- Assist the education team and partnership programs in the development of a plan for the implementation of strategies of the School Readiness Goals.
- Assist teaching staff in the use of program screening and assessment to inform lesson planning and individualized instruction.
- Assist programs in the process of national and local early childhood programs’ accreditation.
- Responsible for maintaining current and pertinent information in Child Plus.
- Assist in the development and implementation of all strategies for teachers in the EHS-CCP to complete the Child Development Associate Credential.
- Actively participate in the Reflective Supervision process.
- Assist the Associate Director, EHS CCP, in the analysis of data collected through the CLASS and Infant Toddler Classroom Staff Skill Profile.
- Engage in partnership with teachers to collaboratively develop a career development plan.
