Assistant NDE Technician

Audubon is currently seeking an Assistant NDE Technician to join our team in California. The Assistant NDE Technician will help Advanced and Senior NDE Technicians conduct robust NDE and Materials Verification Inspections for clients, primarily in the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry. In this role, the assistant will be responsible for assisting in setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting NDE and material verification inspections, collecting critical job-site information and data, and generating final report deliverables. Will also be tasked with transporting equipment to and from cargo boats and other job sites. Reporting to the Facility Integrity Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to company and customer safety standards and procedures.
- Travel to clients' locations.
- Delivering equipment or other needed items to crews.
- Setting up, calibrating, and maintaining NDE equipment.
- Conducting robust inspections within oil and gas facilities.
- Program development: key team members in continual improvement of service programs to include improvement support of procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Assist other technicians in the field, as necessary.
- Supports and solicits input and feedback from team members at all levels within the organization.
- Works safely and completes all company and client safety daily paperwork.
- Must adhere to company and client policies and procedures in their entirety.
- Assisting Business Development to identify strategic accounts and play an active role in developing these accounts when applicable.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Training in NDE methods and procedures preferred.
- NDE experience in UT and MT NDE methods preferred.
- Eligible to work in the U.S., without sponsorship.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Web Based applications.
- Valid Driver’s License required and at least 3 years of safe driving experience. Driving is an essential job function and alternate transportation is not comparable in time or cost.
- Able to travel 80%.
Pay Range: $18.00 USD - $26.00 USD per hour
