Job Description

**This position is contingent on the award for a project in FDOT District 4.**

The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall operations, maintenance, and management of designated rest area facilities located along Interstate 95 in Florida. This includes ensuring the rest areas are clean, safe, operational, and compliant with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple rest area facilities along I-95.
  • Interact with RESPECT to ensure we are meeting requirements on janitorial work.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the facilities are clean, safe, and in excellent working conditions.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and utility services.
  • Maintain compliance with FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) guidelines and other relevant regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies, incidents, and customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and documented, including OSHA and ADA compliance.
  • Maintain records of inspections, repairs, incidents, and vendor contracts.
  • Implement preventive maintenance plans and manage capital improvement projects when necessary.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility operations or maintenance management.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience managing multiple facilities or remote sites.
  • Prior knowledge of FDOT requirements and public facility operations.
  • Trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) a plus.
