About the Role:
The Sr. Director, FP&A & Investor Relations is a strategic financial leader responsible for guiding the company’s financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and strategic decision-making to drive growth, profitability, and company valuation. Activities include, but are not limited to, effective communication of the company’s quarterly earnings while also keeping investors focused on Wabash’s longer-term strategy.

Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of robust financial models to support annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term business planning. Align financial strategies with organizational goals to drive sustainable growth.
- Deliver actionable insights by analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and presenting recommendations that guide executive decision-making.
- Design and implement streamlined processes for forecasting, reporting, and analytics to improve accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
- Foster collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment between financial goals and business objectives.
- Standardize and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to track business KPIs, measure success, and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing team through coaching, professional development, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Prepare quarterly earnings materials, including assisting senior leadership develop talking points, scripts and anticipate likely topics for analyst and investor questions
- Coordinate investor marketing activities, including conferences, non-deal roadshows, plant tours and other analyst and investor touchpoints
- Maintain close relationships with sell-side analysts covering WNC to ensure understanding of long-term strategy and providing transparency in to the company’s financial outlook to ensure consensus falls within a reasonable range
- Act as the main point of contact for institutional investors to reach out with questions and proactively engage with large shareholders to capture feedback and share with the internal team
- Maximize sell-side research coverage by developing relationships with non-covering sell-side analysts
- Ad Hoc Strategic Projects: Partner with leadership on special initiatives such as M&A activity, investment analysis, and strategic scenario modeling
- Bachelor’s degree required (Preferred Major: Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting)
- Master’s degree Preferred (Preferred Major: Finance or related)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate finance-related role within a public company
- Previous experience in leading Investor Relations preferred
- Proficiency in understanding of financial markets
- Familiarity with machinery and/or transportation market segments
