Damien Center, Damien Cares and Damien Pharmacy provide client-centered social services focused on care coordination, clinical and pharmacy services, mental health, housing, and nutrition to the Indianapolis community.
Position Summary
The Project Manager coordinates and oversees various strategic projects at the direction of the Vice President of Strategy, the President and CEO, and other leaders as necessary. This individual acts as the primary liaison between project managers, contractors and vendors, and leadership. The Project Manager will manage projects, document needs, conduct cost benefit analyses, and recommend strategies and improvements that ensure the highest quality services are offered at Damien Center. The Project Manager will build strong relationships both internally, and externally with vendors, contractors and other providers.

Ability to work independently and achieve high standards of productivity, achieving deadlines and with superior product results. Strong calendaring, organizational, and document management skills required. Proactive approach to solving problems and communicating to leadership. Knowledge of office management systems, procedures, and office equipment required. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.

Duties And Responsibilities

- Oversee strategic project portfolios from planning through execution, ensuring projects are completed according to scope, budget, schedule, and quality guidelines. Projects include, but are not limited to:
- Capital projects, including integration of additional service lines and facility expansion/renovation.
- Clinical and programmatic projects such as; streamlining and enhancing clinical workflows and procedures, and expanding clinic access.
- Business transformation projects such as; FQHC, NCQA-PCMH, and Value-Based Care accreditations.
- IT and systems projects such as; data integration and software migration.
- Other strategic projects as identified by VP of Strategy and/or President and CEO.
- Conduct Need, Feasibility, and Cost-Benefit analyses, assessing organizational capacity to achieve strategic objectives.
- Create detailed project plans and documentation, maintaining each in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Convene cross functional teams, facilitate meetings, track assigned goals, and collect progress reports from various stakeholders across the agency.
- Develop risk management plans tailored to each project, including risk registers, qualitative and quantitative risk analyses, and mitigation strategies.
- Develop budget forecasts and cost estimates for new initiatives, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and/or organizational capacity
- Monitor project execution and work performance data across the project lifecycle – including budget and resource utilization, adjusting workplans and integrating change control as needed.
- Develop Change and Benefits management plans in collaboration with project stakeholders, creating workflows, policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure project activities and deliverables maintain compliance with local, State, and Federal guidelines (HRSA, OSHA, NCQA, etc.).
Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Three to five years of project management, or equivalent, experience required,
- Experience in nonprofit and/or medical setting preferred.
