Job Type and Shift: Full-Time, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm (4-day work week)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC mills, lathes and similar machines to produce precision parts and components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to perform various machining operations.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to resolve production issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC mills/lathes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of G-code and CNC programming fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with various metals and machining techniques.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform quality checks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
