Arizona Priority Care (AZPC) is an Integrated Provider Network focused on providing whole-person care to Senior and Medicaid populations, through advanced value-based models. Our provider network is comprised of more than 6,000 health care providers, including primary and specialty care physicians, hospitals and ancillary providers. We have operated in the Arizona market for more than 12 years, based in Chandler, Arizona, and are an affiliate of Heritage Provider Network.

The Contract Manager is critical to the overall success of the company. Healthcare providers (Hospital, Ancillary and Physician) value great service in all phases of provider contracting, implementation and management of provider network. This includes contract negotiation, preparation, telephonic outreach and follow-up with providers, and securing contracts. Be relationship oriented, requiring someone with an outgoing personality, attention to detail, and firm understanding of the health care delivery system and contracting methods. Maintains a professional, positive and caring attitude at all times.


POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Negotiates and completes contract rates and terms with hospitals and other healthcare providers (Hospital, Ancillary and Physician) and manages the day-to-day activities related to the negotiations, contracting and maintenance of the provider network.
  • Responsible for owning the contract throughout the contracting process, which includes: ensuring the contract rates and language are within approved company standards; ensuring implementation process and procedures are adhered to.
  • Accountable for contributing to the provider network development strategy as well as the successful on-boarding and orientation of new provider contracts.
  • Engaged in network analysis, network evaluation and planning, contracting methodologies and claims pricing/reimbursement strategies.
  • Maintains detailed and accurate provider contract notes.
  • Communicates to team and applicable physician network of new or updated contracting methodologies, contract languages, and contracting systems, procedures, forms and manuals through staff meetings and verbal & written communication.
  • Educates and maintains a stable and comprehensive provider network through the development of strong business relationships with providers and provider staff.
  • Provides oversight and timely completion of assignments and suggests approaches to resolution of issues.
  • Develop, manage and strengthen relationships with AZPC’s contracted providers and other network administrators.
  • Consults and coordinates with various internal departments, providers as a representative of the area of responsibility.
  • May require some travel to local and regional provider offices and events.
  • Ability to attend evening events, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education, Training and Experience

  • Associates degree or relevant equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong background in Provider Contracting, Credentialing, or Network Operations; experience with physicians and ancillary providers required (typically 5+ years).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including outside the immediate area as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access); Quest Analytics and EzCap experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Working knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare Advantage products required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in both written and verbal work.
  • Must be able to interact with providers in a professional manner with a strong commitment to positively and professionally representing the company.


*This role requires FT in-office presence for the first 60 days of employment. Hybrid schedule available after initial training period.*
