Extremely busy Cardiac ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY office in Davie, FL.

Candidate should have a keen interest in Cardiology and want to gain clinical experience in cardiac electrophysiology management from a prominent Electrophysiologist.

**MUST KNOW ECLINICAL WORKS **

We Need An EXPERIENCED BILINGUAL MA (English/Spanish)

Hours are:

8:30 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday or only Tues-Wed-Thurs (P/T)

Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant , in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

• Front and Back office duties
• Knowledge of aseptic technique. Position may require surgical assisting for minor procedures.
• Screening and consenting study patients
• Consenting patients for remote monitoring of pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders
• Perform EKG's
• Hook up and/or order HOLTER/CEM/MCOT heart monitors
• Obtain vitals
• Refill prescriptions
• Obtain prior authorizations
• Obtaining/maintaining patient medical records
• Knowledge/implementation of HIPAA compliance
• Updating patient files
• Prepare charts for patient appointments, (proper documentation will include, procedures performed, medical history, medications, allergies, medication reconciliation, etc. )
• Insurance verification/obtaining referrals/authorizations for cardiac monitors and RX’s
• Check-in/Check-out patients
• Appointment scheduling
• Answering multi-line phone system, helping patients with medical questions
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to manage HIPPA and OSHA documentation.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Phlebotomy a plus

Requirements:

• 1-to 5-years experience as a medical assistant
• Provide 3 professional references
• Must agree to drug testing, background check, and LIVESCAN

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
