Summary

The position reports directly to the Operations Manager of the branch. This role is responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to all standard operating procedures related to the systematic control of branch inventory. This includes overseeing the cycle counting process as well as preparing for and executing the annual physical inventory process.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitors the data entry of quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments into computer database.
  • Oversees the closing of shop packets received and purging of computer database.
  • Troubleshoots quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Maintains the records for the items on shelf-life daily and oversees the notification of appropriate personnel when material has been expired.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Prepares monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
  • Oversees a yearly physical inventory.
  • Assists in the movement and reduction of E & O inventory.

Education And Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret written communications. Respond in a professional and timely manner to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community.

Other Skills/Certification

  • Must have the ability to become forklift certified.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – particularly Word and Excel.

Mathematical Skills

Has the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Able to apply concepts such as discounts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to everyday work situations.
