TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to implement and execute the recruitment of talent in accordance with IMDEX hiring strategy. The position works in partnership with the business to understand workforce planning needs, and is responsible for tasks including sourcing, assessment, selection, and successful on-boarding of talent.

Accountabilities & Expected Outcomes

  • Performing all recruitment activities from job brief through to offer in line with the HR strategy and recruitment procedure.
  • Contributing to the creation of recruitment campaigns, identifying characteristics of candidate target groups, proposing channel selection, and drafting communications.
  • Liaising with hiring managers to review competency expectations to provide a quality short list of candidates which includes a diverse range of talent.
  • Making a recommendation on the right candidate that meets both competency and market value.
  • Ensuring no discrimination enters the recruitment process at any point.
  • Maintaining knowledge of local job market conditions.
  • Recommending interview questions based on both technical and behavioural competency requirements.
  • Facilitating Recruitment & Selection training across the business to educate managers on recruitment processes and ensure they understand their responsibilities.
  • All recruitment activities, including recruitment administration, are completed accurately and in such a way as to not slow down the recruitment process.
  • The right candidate is placed into the right role.
  • Interview questions will solicit a balanced candidate profile.
  • Knowledge of local conditions is used to provide advice to both hiring manager and recruitment team on issues that may impact talent acquisition.
  • Hiring manager is exposed to a short list that provides deep and broad choice of candidates.
  • Prepare employment contracts
  • Once the candidate accepts the role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will start the onboarding process which includes background checks, and all company benefit enrolments

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

Five years in-house recruitment experience with a medium sized company.

Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.

Demonstrated experience in building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.

Use of recruiting advertising platforms (LinkedIn, SEEK etc).

MS Office suite – Intermediate level.

Desirable

Tertiary qualification in HR Management or other related discipline.

Experience with Recruitment systems (SAP SuccessFactors would be advantageous).
