What you will do: The CTE Coordinator is a member of the Rite of Passage team supporting the educational goals and objectives of the education department. Primarily responsible for providing leadership and management of the Career and Technical Education program and teachers that is responsive to industry and appropriate to program needs. Works collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion emphasizing a positive attitude toward students, staff and program.

What you will do: The CTE Coordinator is a member of the Rite of Passage team supporting the educational goals and objectives of the education department. Primarily responsible for providing leadership and management of the Career and Technical Education program and teachers that is responsive to industry and appropriate to program needs. Works collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion emphasizing a positive attitude toward students, staff and program.
- Administers all phases of the site’s CTE programs.
- Develops, implements and monitors program budgets and staffing in cooperation with site-level administrators, building administrators and CTE staff.
- Ensures that standards for CTE programs are met in all Rite of Passage approved programs. Reviews and analyzes current program elements, provides suggestions and direction to the Principal to ensure the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with agency licensing and Rite of Passage policies and procedures.
- Actively seeks funding opportunities to enhance the CTE programs.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships and collaboration with higher education, state agencies, local businesses and community organizations.
- Current or past Career and Technical Education Administrator’s certification is desired.
- Extensive knowledge of career and technical education and workforce needs to effectively oversee a comprehensive vocational training curriculum.
- Current knowledge of state learning requirements, Perkins and State Appropriations criteria, teacher certification requirements, career and technical education program standards, Tech Prep (Dual Credit) articulations, and Skills Center Programs.
- Ability to lead career and technical education presentations to prospective students and the public in an effective and positive manner.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets.
- Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
