Job Purpose: The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the Dallas Wings’ email marketing, website management, and digital campaign execution, while supporting social media initiatives. This role will drive fan engagement, lead generation, and digital innovation across key touchpoints including email, web, paid campaigns, social media, community efforts, and partnership activations. The ideal candidate is organized, meticulous, collaborative, creative, and passionate about digital storytelling and results driven marketing.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Email (Primary Focus):

  • Lead execution of the team’s email strategy in collaboration with third-party vendors (e.g., LEAP), creative services, and business intelligence.
  • Optimize content, segmentation, testing, and performance of email campaigns with a focus on revenue and fan engagement.
  • Collaborate with creative services to develop HTML email templates and make recommendations for template enhancements.
  • Stay up to date on email marketing best practices including deliverability, mobile responsiveness, and browser compatibility.
  • Assist in development and execution of marketing campaigns that span across digital platforms, including paid social, email, and website.

Website & Digital Content Management

  • Own and maintain the Dallas Wings website, ensuring accuracy, freshness, and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Proactively make content and recommendations to improve web performance and user engagement.

Social Media Support

  • Support the Social & Digital Media Manager by assisting in social content scheduling, publishing, and community engagement across all platforms.
  • Contribute to copywriting and digital storytelling aligned with the team’s tone and voice.
  • Support social coverage for practices, games, and events in collaboration with the content team.
  • Identify real-time trends and influencers that align with the Wings brand to increase visibility.

Partnerships & Community Integration

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships team to develop content that integrates sponsor messaging across all digital platforms.
  • Support the Community and Social Responsibility team by highlighting community programs and activations through digital and social content.

Game Day Responsibilities

  • Support social and digital coverage during home games (including pregame, live, and postgame content).
  • Provide live updates and engage with fans online during games.
  • Communicate with photographers, content creators, and internal stakeholders to ensure real-time execution.
  • Must be available to attend all home games and some away games. Games and events may occur on nights weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Requirements

  • Formal Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital marketing, email strategy, social media, or website content management.
    • Knowledgeable in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HTML/CSS, Google Analytics, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Work Location & Hours: Work is performed in the community, office and/or at one of the as determined necessary by the Company. Must be available to attend all home games for the Dallas Wings, as well as attend company events. Games & events may take place on nights, weekends, and/or holidays. This position will also travel to a few away games.

  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, including coverage/attendance of all home games and events as required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Hearing, seeing, reading, writing, concentration, comprehension, and talking with clear speech.
  • Planning, organizing, interpreting data, making decisions, problem-solving, and composure under deadlines/stress.
