We are seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Associate People Business Partner (PBP) to support the Optum AI Technology team. This role partners closely with AI leaders and HR colleagues to align people strategies with business priorities, embed AI capabilities, and support the development of a future-ready, AI-enabled organization. The ideal candidate brings solid consulting skills, a data-informed mindset, and a passion for shaping inclusive, high-performing cultures.

Primary Responsibilities
- Consulting & Coaching
- Partner with AI leaders to design and implement people strategies that drive business outcomes
- Provide strategic coaching and guidance on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and organizational health
- Culture & Employee Experience
- Support the development of an inclusive, innovative, and engaging culture within AI teams
- Help shape and activate strategies that enhance employee experience, belonging, and psychological safety
- Organizational Design & Development
- Apply organizational development frameworks to support org design, change enablement, and leadership transitions
- Contribute to workforce planning and capability building to ensure readiness for AI-driven growth
- Data & Analytics
- Leverage people data and insights to inform decision-making and measure the impact of talent initiatives
- Connect multiple data sources to identify trends and recommend actions aligned with business strategy
- Talent Management
- Partner on talent strategies that align with AI capability needs, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Support cyclical talent processes such as performance reviews, talent reviews, and engagement surveys
- Collaborate on initiatives such as succession planning, internal mobility, and employee engagement
- Business Fluency
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the AI business model, cost drivers, and strategic priorities
- Translate business context into people strategies that accelerate innovation and impact
- Inclusion & Belonging
- Integrate inclusion and belonging into all aspects of talent strategy and execution
- Champion equitable practices and support initiatives that foster a sense of connection, representation, and inclusive leadership
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HR/People Team roles
- Experience working with global teams
- Experience leading organization design and implementing change
- Proficiency in using data to drive insights and influence decisions
- Demonstrated solid consulting, communication, and relationship-building skills across matrixed environments
- Demonstrated competence in leading and driving the talent agendas
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of ambiguity
- Experience supporting technology and/or AI driven organizations
